WELDING SUPPLIES * TRAINING * REPAIR

WELDER OF THE MONTH CLUB

Robert Gray started welding over 45 years ago. He got started in the welding industry because he was on a job and the welder quit. His boss told him he needed to weld in two hours and figured out how to do it. Bob has always been a fast learner and learned welding in just a few weeks. As he said himself, "the rest was history". After he moved around from job to job he was offered "official" welding training through a company he worked for. Up until this point Bob was self taught. Bob exceled through the training so fast, that he was teaching the class by the second week. Bob has built yachts, tankers, freighters, and tugboats throughout his career. This is one of the perks of welding he said, because you can see your pieces of work driving around. Bob's work is all around the country and that gives him a sense of huge accomplishment.

Bob's specialty is TIG welding. He was able to learn TIG welding by just watching it being done. He got formal training at the Hobart training school. He is able to show his true artistic ability through TIG welding.
