WELDER OF THE MONTH CLUB

Stephen Buccheri opened his own business Buccheri Welding & Hydraulics in 2001. He started his business with a passion for hydraulics and welding. He started in a single bay with not much equipment besides tools he already had. He realized in the hydraulics aspect of his business, he would have to be able to make parts, not just repair them.

This lead to getting a two bay shop in order to house more and the creating of multiple tables in order to efficiently dismantle cylinders. Also a lathe, Bridgeport and welding machines where needed. These tools led to the vast capabilities of his shop.

Stephen always liked fixing things and working with his hands, however welding was always his passion. This led him to expand more into the welding industry. He became certified for welding pipe which led to being certified for utilities like Nstar and National Grid. He does mobile site welding for various mechanical and utility contractors, including (Sagamore, Harold Brothers, Feeney Brothers). Reaching out into specialized avenues of both aspects of the business iswhat allowed his self made business stay open during an economy that could have led to closure. Having kept his motivation and expansion for his ownbusiness along with loyalty and familyatmosphere is why he is the welder of the month.
